History
The North Sacramento Land Company was founded in 1910 by D.W. Johnston and Carl Edward Johnston. Primarily a land sales operation they started with 4400 acres split from the Rancho Del Paso Land Grant then owned by James Ben Ali Haggin. The company still exists today as an owner of warehouse and office lessor and owns a 7500 acre cattle and almond ranch in Colusa County. It is currently run by Robert Johnston Slobe, great grandson of D.W. Johnston.
