Mountain View Elementary is perhaps best known throughout the Mt. Diablo Unified School District for its emphasis on special education. It has the only Sensory Integration Room in the district. Parents are very active, both as classroom volunteers and with the Parent Faculty Club, which hosts an annual carnival, book fairs, Red Ribbon Week, science fair and other fundraising events throughout the year.
This public school has about 400 pre-K to 5th grade students. There are Academic contests, Band and P.E. classes and received a 6 out of 10 rating on GreatSchools.org based on state standardized tests.
