The Lake Pillsbury Fire Protection District (LPFPD) is a volunteer fire district dedicated to protecting the communities and visitors in the Lake Pillsbury Basin and surrounding areas. With a team of 12 active volunteer firefighters, LPFPD is committed to being prepared, responding quickly, solving problems, and ensuring the safety of all.
Established in 1996, LPFPD was formed by a group of 10 volunteers led by Michael Ahearn, who recognized the need for local medical and fire services in the area. Over the past 20 years, the district has grown and now operates two fire stations strategically located at the north and south ends of Lake Pillsbury, providing efficient fire protection, rescue, and medical aid to the homeowners and visitors in the region.
