LCB Associates commenced business in September 1979. The principal, Steven H. Banker, had previously worked for a small commercial real estate firm in Oakland. LCB stands for the initials of Steve's grandfather ( Leon Chester Banker ). Leon's brother, Benjamin Arthur Banker, was one of the founders of Coldwell Banker. LCB Associates has been a sole proprietorship of Steve Banker, and in June 2002, incorporated under the name of LCB Commercial Real Estate, a California corporation, dba LCB Associates. In addition to Steve Banker, there are three broker associates and five full-time employees. Our philosophy is to keep the company small and work in a limited geographic area. This insures quality control, superior market knowledge, and also allows us to provide the best service to our clients. LCB Associates is one of Oakland's long-established businesses.
