Cristophe first opened in Beverly Hills in 1985. Over the past 30 years, the salon has catered to celebrities, politicians and other high profile individuals. The salon is led by founder Cristophe Schatteman, who emphasizes creating a customized look for each individual based not only on physical appearance, but also on personality.

Cristophe is considered one of the worlds leading hairdressers, and yet the salon also offers spa services that make all who try them feel like a celebrity. Signature offerings include vegetable, yuko and ion hair straighteners; galvanic ionization to tone skin muscles and promote cell growth; and seaweed clay scalp treatments featuring essential oils such as rosemary, cypress and lavender. The salon also boasts a line of hair care products made from gaboncillo, quillaya, yucca plant, passionflower and other exotics from the rain forest.
