The California Conservation Corps, also known as CCC, is a workforce development program that offers life skills training to young men and women in environmental conservation, fire protection and emergency response techniques. The department operates through various centers, and residential and nonresidential programs. The California Conservation Corps offers its services to individuals of age 18-25 years. In addition, the CCC works to improve the ecology of California s lands and rivers and contributes to the public safety. Its members are provided training in flood fighting techniques, first aid, hazmat limited task worker, camp support, fire suppression, tool use, safety training, oil spill cleanup, scaffolding and power actuated tool use. The California Conservation Corps is headquartered in Sacramento, Calif.
