Bonita House, founded in 1971, offers intensive residential treatment, supported independent living, and case management services for adults diagnosed with severe and persistent psychiatric disabilities, and substance use disorders. The center offers a day socialization program for people suffering with a serious mental illness. It also offers Berkeley Creative Living Center, a client representative committee, dual diagnosis residential treatment program, dual recovery, family support program, and supported independent living. Bonita House is licensed by California Department of Social Services, and certified by the California Department of Mental Health. The center has affiliations with California Association of Social Rehabilitation Agencies, Alameda Council of Community Mental Health Agencies, and United Way. It is located in Oakland, Calif.
