History
Allegro is owned and operated by Allegro Dancers, Inc. a non-profit, membership operated, public benefit and educational corporation [501(c)3]. Its mission is to serve the community by supporting and promoting the preservation, teaching and exhibition of social dance art forms commonly known under the general categories of Ballroom, Latin and Swing, as well as other popular forms of social dance including Salsa, Bachata and Kizomba. It is our members who make Allegro different from all other ballrooms. As a membership run facility, we rely on the commitment and support of the hundreds of members who come to Allegro to take classes, private lessons, practice, help out, participate in leadership, or simply hang out and chat. Allegro thrives on the creative energy that comes from this spirit of friendliness and volunteerism. Through on-going volunteer efforts we have raised and donated, to date, more than $252,000 to charitable causes.
