Dr. Melissa S. Block is a licensed acupuncturist and a Doctor of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine specializing in Orthopedics, Internal Medicine and women's health. With an additional degree in Exercise Physiology from University of Puget Sound, Melissa has worked with sports injuries in Physical Therapy settings as well as Acupuncture clinics. Her goal is to bridge the gap between Eastern and Western medical treatments and to further enhance the communities education in East/West therapies. Acupuncture can treat a variety of ailments including but not limited to low back/knee/should/ankle/neck pain, surgery preparation and rehabilitation after, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Chron's, Weight loss/gain, allergies, anxiety, pregnancy, morning sickness, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, low energy, nausea/vomiting, labor induction, dryness, fatigue, stress, common cold, sore throat, itchy eyes, congestion, insomnia, and asthma. Melissa and her team specialize in Labor Preparation, Labor Induction and pre/post natal issues such as sciatica, morning sickness and postpartum.
