History
The Rogers Historical Museum was a community project with support for the City government. We opened in 1975 on First Street. In 1985 the city was given the Hawkins House on Second street as a new home for the museum. In 1987 we opened an addition next to the Hawkins House for more galleries and education space. In 1995, the community came together to renovate the Hawkins House. Today we are working with the community to open a new facility in the historic Hailey Ford building across the street. This facility will feature larger galleries, more community gathering space, and larger educational opportunities. We will continue to offer tours of the Hawkins House, and retain our current facility as larger education space and meeting space for the public.
