The Jefferson Regional Medical Center is a nonprofit, private 470-plus-bed hospital. It offers primary care, as well as specialty medical services. The center provides services in the areas of pediatrics, occupational health, general surgery, gynecology, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, podiatry, urology, and critical and nursing care. The Jefferson Regional Medical Center operates the Area Health Education Center, which offers residency training programs for family physicians. Its imaging center provides a range of diagnostic services that include X-ray, fluoroscopy examination, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound, mammography and bone densitometry. The center additionally offers pastoral care and counseling services. Operational for more than 100 years, the Jefferson Regional Medical Center maintains a network of clinics and affiliated centers. It is licensed by the Arkansas State Health Department and accredited by The Joint Commission. The center is located in Pine Bluff, Ark.
