The Arkansas Insurance Department, also known as AID, works for the protection of consumers through insurer solvency and market conduct regulation. It administers the Senior Health Insurance Information Program. The department maintains a criminal investigation, accounting, and life and health divisions. The Arkansas Insurance Department has the Employee Claims Division, which is an agency that is responsible for the investigation, determination, payment, management and administration of more than 2,820 workers compensation claims filed annually. The department s risk management division provides loss control and appraisal services for various state agencies. In addition, it operates legal, liquidation, and property and casualty divisions. The Arkansas Insurance Department is governed by the State of Arkansas.
