Attorney General
The Arkansas Attorney General Office, governed by State of Arkansas, represents various state agencies, boards and commissions in courts. The office provides opinions on legal issues presented by the legislators, prosecutors and heads of state agencies. It advocates for citizens with regard to environment, antitrust and consumer protection issues. The Arkansas Attorney General Office s community relations department administers several public service programs, such the Smart Choices, Better Chances and Keys to Safety. The office also maintains a criminal department that offers the VINE Program. In addition, its Medicaid fraud control units have recovered more than $288 million in court-ordered restitutions, fines, penalties and civil settlements.
