The background of the Valentino name: Rob's wife, Jennifer Valentino Barker, is where the Valentino name comes from. Jennifer's great grandfather Pasquale Valentino was born on August 13, 1885 in Molise, Italy. He arrived in the United States in 1900 at the age of 15. He married Maria Carmela Braco at the age of 19 and their son, Joseph Pasquale Valentino was born on November 25, 1905 in New York, Jennifer's paternal grandfather. Jennifer never had the chance to meet & know her paternal grandfather as he passed in April 1955, however his life & love for family continued then and still continues on as the years have passed with his wife, Assunta "Susie" Festa Valentino, five children, 16 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren & two great-great grandchildren. He along with Jennifer's grandmother, Susie, would both be very proud and humbled today to know that a fine Italian restaurant has now been named Valentino's, as Grandpa Valentino always loved getting together with his family, eating good Italian food, with great conversation & lots of laughs!
