Yavapai Regional Medical Center was founded in 1942 as the Prescott Community Hospital. The hospital originally opened in an old school building and now has a 127-bed hospital, an outpatient center for preventative medicine and rehabilitative services, and offers hospice and home health services. YRMC boasts a cardiac cath lab, angiography service, imaging services and healthcare options that range from preventive medicine to family-centered obstetrics. The hospital also has a 24-hour emergency department with fast track capabilities and inpatient and outpatient surgical services. Yavapai Regional Medical Center has a staff of more then 1,200 full- and part time employees.
