Alaska was still a territory when the presses began rolling at Color Art Printing in 1958. My how times have changed! We have thoroughly enjoyed the changes in our state, the technology of the world and the needs of our customers over the years.Our company has evolved from a letterpress shop using hot metal slugs for type to a very modern sheet fed offset printing company enjoying the wonders of the computer age. It is fun to see projects being completed that could only be dreamed of a few years ago.While we are an offset printing company, we have retained a letterpress department. This gives us the capabilities to handle those extra steps such as die cutting, embossing and foil stamping in-house. These steps can add a wonderful special look to your project. Our prepress department is very up to date and constantly evolving.Before your job reaches your hands, it may need to pass through our bindery department for the finishing work. We can fold, staple, drill, pad and laminate in lots of combinations!We are very proud of our affiliations with several national printing industry associations. This provides us with the knowledge and network of specialty printers to handle jobs beyond the capabilities under our roof.
