After an $80 million facelift, the Outlet Collection at Riverwalk, formerly the Riverwalk Marketplace, reopened in May 2014 in downtown New Orleans, right on the banks of the mighty Mississippi. Touted as an "upscale outlet center", this retail space features a nice mix of retail shops and good eats. Visitors can expect to enjoy daily discounts on kids and adult apparel, jewelry, accessories, toys and more. It's the perfect spot for avid shoppers to snap a bargain (or two), or for those who are just window shopping.

If you prefer restaurant dining over food court grub, try the Crazy Lobster, they offer good seafood, a relaxing outdoor patio and live music.
